This privacy notice sets out how and why we use your personal information.
How can I get in touch?
The best way to get in touch is via email on info [at] gdprforstartups.com and we’ll come back to you in line with any periods required by data protection laws (e.g. a month under GDPR).
What information do we collect about you?
We try to keep data collection to a minimum. We might collect:
- information you provide when contacting us (for example, your email address when signing up to the mailing list or completing a contact form);
- information when you create an account to access content or member’s areas on the site;
- information we gather via cookies from your use of our website and IP Address, operating system & browser that is being used to visit the website.
There’s no obligation to share data with us, but you may not be able to use some aspects of the website if you don’t share certain personal information with us.

We primarily use your personal information to help provide this website and any other services to you. And rely on one of the lawful bases set out in GDPR. All data associated with this website is stored in the UK, on Firston Media’s servers which are hosted by 20i.
The security of your information is important to us and we use reasonable security measures to protect your data which is under our control. However, we are not able to guarantee the absolute security of your data, so any data you do transfer to us is done at your own risk.
Who do we share your data with?
We only share your data in a limited set of circumstances, for example:

- where we work with third-party email platforms or marketers to send marketing emails (we won’t share it with them for their own purposes and you can opt-out at any time);

How long do we keep your personal information?
We will only keep you personal information for as long as we have a lawful basis to process it. This will depend on the nature of the information,the sensitivity of the information, how quickly it goes out of date and whether we need to process it on an ongoing basis (for example to maintain your account).
